Milk that reaches the infant instead of the sheets
Patients fall asleep mid-session. They are exhausted, medicated, recovering from surgery, or simply cannot keep two flanges seated for twenty minutes at a time. When the flanges shift, the session's output ends up on the bed.
For a premature infant in the NICU, that output is not a convenience. Every drop of a mother's milk is critical to that child's survival, and a spilled bottle is not something the next session gets back.
- Reduces spillage when a patient falls asleep while pumping.
- Supports patients with limited mobility or dexterity who cannot hold flanges in position unaided.
- Protects the supply a NICU infant is being fed from, session after session.
